The Goiás State Government has extended the registration deadline for the Cattle Genetic Improvement Program for Family Farming. Interested dairy farmers now have until September 23 to complete the registration process, available on the website of the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (Seapa).
The initiative aims to strengthen the dairy chain by providing technology and training to producers through the use of Fixed-Time Artificial Insemination (FTAI) and training in areas such as management, health, and animal nutrition. The program serves all regions of Goiás, ensuring that producers from different locations have access to the same opportunities to modernize their herds and increase their income. "The program is expected to benefit 450 family dairy farmers, with an investment of R$1,500,000 (R$3 million) from the Protege Fund. We want to ensure that all interested parties have the opportunity to participate," stated Pedro Leonardo Rezende, Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply.
