The National Supply Company (CONAB) released its Agricultural Monitoring Bulletin (BMA) for August, highlighting the weather conditions that favored the development and progress of the country's crop harvest. Between August 1st and 21st, rainfall followed the climatic pattern, with higher accumulations in the North, East of the Northeast, and South regions. In the Central-West region, hot and dry weather favored the harvest of cotton and second-crop corn. In most of the Sealba region (Sergipe, Alagoas, and Bahia), soil moisture benefited third-crop beans and corn.
In the South, good rainfall, interspersed with dry periods and low minimum temperatures, favored winter crops. Frosts occurred but did not cause significant damage to the wheat, which was in the vegetative stage.

Spectral data indicate favorable conditions for wheat, despite occasional impacts from rain and frost. The vegetation index (VI), a generic term used for indices obtained through remote sensing, remained above the historical average, despite a recent drop due to frost, cloud cover, and land preparation for the next harvest.
In winter crops, Rio Grande do Sul began grain filling; Paraná saw moisture replenishment with occasional rains, and Santa Catarina is in the process of tillering, with some areas flowering. Despite isolated germination failures, overall crop performance is good in this state.
