Exhibitors hosted the 5th Aprosoja Mato Grosso Technical Symposium and offered storage solutions

V Simposio Aprosoja

The 5th Technical Symposium of the Mato Grosso Soybean and Corn Producers Association (Aprosoja MT), held on August 6th and 7th, attracted producers from several municipalities to find solutions to the storage deficit. The state, the largest grain producer in the country, has the capacity to store only half of the harvested soybeans and corn, which causes direct losses to producers and an indirect impact on food prices for the end consumer. Concerned about the increasing storage deficit, for this edition, Aprosoja MT combined the Warehouse for All campaign with the Technical Symposium to address post-harvest challenges.

According to Alberto Chiapinotto, delegate of the Jaciara branch, the organization has played an essential role in seeking improvements for its members, regardless of the size of their land. The producer, who received support from the campaign, is now evaluating the feasibility of expanding his storage structure. "The processing unit itself pays for itself in the long term; even with the higher interest rate, it becomes viable on the property. Therefore, rural producers shouldn't be afraid to invest in a grain processing unit, and Aprosoja MT already has a major incentive: the Warehouse for All program. It was through the organization that we became more aware of our need for a warehouse," he emphasizes.

Alongside the technical panels, companies presented technology, financing, and management solutions specifically geared toward addressing this bottleneck, which drew significant interest from the attendees. Fernando Caprioli, AGI's sales and marketing director, emphasized that on-farm storage is synonymous with productivity and marketing freedom. "It was a very positive opportunity, in our opinion, because the organization brought together an audience at this event that we understand has significant potential to improve their productivity by having on-farm warehouses, where they can have authority and autonomy," he emphasized.

According to Guilherme Vettorazzi, commercial manager at Kepler Weber, the Symposium was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships with producers and present solutions tailored to their specific needs. "During the event, we welcomed small producers interested in storage projects, aligning a model and a layout tailored to their property's needs. Other possibilities also exist, such as producers joining forces to build a warehouse in a condominium, or, like Kepler, which has also developed solutions such as unit rentals and even medium- and long-term financing," he adds.

Motomco LocSolution participated in the Technical Symposium for the third time, and the company's Key Account Manager, Patrizia Muniz, explained why they're returning. "We'll be back whenever possible; Aprosoja MT has a very high profile in the region. We have the opportunity to showcase our new products, our products, and we work with post-harvest solutions and grain moisture meters. When we come here, we reach a very interesting, very large audience," she states.

Another participating institution was Lifetime Investimentos. According to Lifetime partner Álvaro Felipe, they, along with BTG Pactual, sought to present financing options to producers. "We were pleasantly surprised by the number of people who came to visit the booth, the wealth of information, and the high-level presentations. Within the scope of delivering solutions, we sought to bring something tailored to the event, including lines focused on storage, such as the BNDES loan facility called PCA. We also brought lines that producers often request, such as financing, machinery, and working capital," he explains.

Making its debut at the event, Sicredi Ouro Verde also presented its portfolio of products and services. According to Bruna Maia, the cooperative's Agro II manager, the institution's goal is to serve small to large-scale associated producers. "Sicredi has been providing financial solutions to one of the biggest bottlenecks for rural producers: the lack of storage. Today, we can serve rural producers with credit lines, both with our own resources, transferred resources, and mandatory resources. We serve, through the BNDES, small, medium, and large-scale rural producers," she says.

In addition to exploring resources and building storage structures, participants also learned about integrated management technologies. Riosoft's innovation director, Rogério César de Aquino, emphasized their reason for participating in the Technical Symposium. "Three years ago, we decided to enter the agribusiness market. We developed a solution for farm management, from planning to harvesting. Being here was important for us to learn about the market—this is Brazil's main agribusiness hub—and to connect with producers," he states.

For rural producers, combining technical content with business opportunities with exhibiting companies was a game-changer. Aprosoja Mato Grosso, through its 5th Technical Symposium, reaffirmed its strategic role of uniting knowledge, innovation, and practical solutions around a topic that affects not only producers but also the economy and nutrition of thousands of people. Solving the storage bottleneck means, above all, investing in sustainability, agricultural efficiency, and food security.
