Falling corn prices keep producers on alert

Corn prices continue to fall, according to Cepea surveys. According to the Research Center, in addition to the record production of Brazil's second crop, the slow pace of exports and the decline in domestic buyers are keeping corn prices under pressure.

Despite the occurrence of frost and/or pests in parts of the producing regions, researchers explain that, to date, expectations are for high domestic production, due to the increase in area and the improvement in productivity.

Aware of the intensification of the harvest, Brazilian consumers are awaiting further devaluations and, therefore, prioritizing the receipt of lots negotiated in advance, according to the Research Center.
