The Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) released its projections for the Soybean Complex in 2025, maintaining record expectations for the sector. Soybean production is expected to reach 170.3 million tons, representing growth of 0.4%, while crushing is projected at 58.1 million tons, an increase of 0.5%. Soybean meal and soybean oil production are expected to reach 44.8 million and 11.6 million tons, respectively, representing increases of 0.7% and 0.4%.
In the international scenario, the outlook is also positive. Soybean exports are expected to reach 109.5 million tons, an increase of 0.51 TP4T. Export sales of soybean meal are expected to remain at 23.6 million tons, while soybean oil imports are expected to decline 3.61 TP4T, to 1.35 million tons. Oil imports are estimated at 100,000 tons, and soybean imports at 650,000 tons, complementing domestic supply.
In June, soybean processing totaled 4.55 million tons, a decrease of 7% compared to May, but an increase of 6.3% compared to the same month in 2024, considering the sample percentage adjustment. Year-to-date, the processed volume reached 25.91 million tons, an increase of 6.1% compared to the same period last year.
