Indonesia, the world's fourth most populous country with approximately 283 million inhabitants, is considered a strategic destination for animal protein. Beef consumption in the country has grown consistently in recent years, driven by rising incomes and the expansion of the urban middle class, which demands more animal-based foods.

This advance represents a significant achievement for Brazil, the world's largest beef exporter, and strengthens trade ties with Indonesia. In 2024, the Asian country imported US$1.5 billion worth of Brazilian agricultural products, particularly the sugar and ethanol complex, soybeans, fibers, and textiles.

With the new qualification, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 402 market openings since the beginning of 2023, expanding its international presence and strengthening Brazil's position as one of the main global food suppliers.
