Rond\u00f4nia reaffirmed its potential in the foreign trade scenario with the passage of the Agro Exporter Caravan through the state last Wednesday (20). The event, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) in partnership with the State Secretariat for Economic Development of Rond\u00f4nia (Sedec), brought together approximately 100 participants, including authorities such as the acting governor of Rond\u00f4nia, S\u00e9rgio Gon\u00e7alves, rural producers, businesspeople and industry experts, to discuss expansion strategies and international business opportunities.<\/p>\n
The Secretary of Commerce and International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Lu\u00eds Rua, highlighted the importance of the initiative to boost agribusiness in Rond\u00f4nia. \u201cRond\u00f4nia exported more than US$2.6 billion in 2024, representing 1.51 million tons of Brazilian agricultural exports. These figures show great growth potential. The Caravan aims to connect local producers to the global market, offering knowledge and tools to expand their businesses,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

During the event, representatives from Mapa, MDIC, ApexBrasil, Banco do Brasil, Sicoob, Invest Rond\u00f4nia and Faperon presented solutions for financing, training and access to new markets. The discussions addressed strategic sectors for the local economy, such as fish, coffee, cocoa, honey and dairy products, expanding the prospects for the international insertion of these production chains.<\/p>\n
In the afternoon, the State Secretary for Economic Development, Avelino Trindade, received Secretary Rua and representatives of the export sector for a meeting aimed at strengthening foreign trade and the growth of the state's economy.<\/p>\n

The closing of the activities was marked by a visit to the fishery company that has stood out for encouraging the consumption of the product in school meals for children in Rond\u00f4nia, exemplifying the sector's potential to add value to the domestic market.<\/p>\n
With an expanding agribusiness and an environment conducive to foreign trade, Rond\u00f4nia is consolidating itself as one of the main agro-export hubs in the country.<\/p>\n
