Thus, Cepea researchers assess that growth in production will depend on productivity, which, for now, is estimated to compensate for the reduction in area and generate greater supply in 2025.<\/p>\n
According to data from Conab, sowing for the 2025 harvest has begun in Goi\u00e1s and Minas Gerais.<\/p>\n
In the main producing states, such as Paran\u00e1 and Rio Grande do Sul, activities are expected to begin only between May and June. In this month's report, Conab points to a decrease of 9.3% in the area allocated to the crop in 2025, to 2.77 million hectares.<\/p>\n
National productivity is estimated at 3.06 tonnes\/hectare, on average, 18.5% higher than in 2024, which would contribute to a production of 8.47 million tonnes, 7.4% higher than the previous year.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
