Surveys by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) show that Brazilian chicken meat exports, considering all products, both fresh and processed, generated revenue of US$$ 906.1 million, with growth of 2.7% compared to the same period last year, with US$$ 882.2 million.<\/p>\n

In terms of volume, shipments totaled 475.9 thousand tons in April, a volume close to that exported in the same period in 2024, when 480.7 thousand tons were shipped (a drop of just 1.0%).<\/p>\n
With this result, the accumulated total for the four months of 2025 reached 1.86 million tons, a volume 9.5% higher than that recorded in the same period in 2024, with 1.70 million tons. In terms of revenue, the total shipped in the first four months of the year reached US$$ 3.49 billion, an increase of 15.5% compared to the same period in the previous year (US$$ 3.02 billion). \u201cApril's performance consolidates the growth trend in chicken meat exports for the year, with significant volumes maintained and consistent revenue growth. Market diversification and good performance in destinations such as the European Union and South Africa offset the one-off decline in countries such as China and Japan,\u201d says ABPA president Ricardo Santin.<\/p>\n

The European Union showed strong growth, with 26.8 thousand tons shipped, up 42.8%, and revenue of US$$ 83.5 million, significant growth of 65.2%.<\/p>\n South Africa imported 26.5 thousand tons, a volume 3.3% lower, with revenue of US$14.9 million, a reduction of 3.4%. Mexico imported 18 thousand tons, a decrease of 4.6%, with revenue of US$$ 42.7 million, a decrease of 5.6%. The Philippines purchased 26.9 thousand tons, a decrease of 8.6%, but revenue increased slightly by 1.1%, totaling US$$ 22.5 million. \u201cThe growth of Brazilian chicken meat in markets with higher added value and specific technical requirements, especially the European Union, is noteworthy. This reinforces the competitiveness of the sector and the recognition of the health and traceability of our products\u201d, adds Santin.<\/p>\n Photo: Jonathan Campos<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Main exporting states<\/strong><\/p>\n Among the states that export chicken meat, Paran\u00e1 maintained the lead in April, with shipments of 187.3 thousand tons, a decrease of 4.8% compared to the same period last year. Next, Santa Catarina exported 108.3 thousand tons, an increase of 4.2%, while Rio Grande do Sul registered 64.8 thousand tons, a decrease of 6.4%. S\u00e3o Paulo shipped 27.7 thousand tons, an increase of 6.5%, and Goi\u00e1s totaled 24.6 thousand tons, an increase of 5.9%.<\/p>\n ABPA expects the growth rate to continue throughout the first half of the year, with a positive impact on total exports for the year.
