Last Wednesday (21) was marked by another edition of the Copagril Second Crop Corn Field Day held at the Cooperative's Experimental Station, in Marechal C\u00e2ndido Rondon (PR), an event that brought together a significant audience of rural producers, technicians and partner companies in agribusiness.<\/p>\n

\"\"The program highlighted the main corn hybrids used in the region, in addition to the presentation of new cultivars with high production potential.<\/p>\n

Companies from the pesticides sector were also present, bringing updated solutions for pest and disease management, with a focus on profitability and crop sustainability.<\/p>\n

Copagril President Eloi Darci Podkowa highlighted the strategic role of Copagril\u2019s Second Crop Corn Field Day. \u201cIt is a moment of learning and inspiration. Our goal is to bring technologies that make a difference to our member\u2019s crops, aiming to achieve greater productivity,\u201d he highlighted.<\/p>\n

\"\"The vice-president of the cooperative, Cesar Luiz Petri, reinforced the importance of proximity to the producer. \u201cBeing here, together with our members, is essential. The exchange of experiences and the practical demonstration of technologies make this event even more relevant for those who experience the day-to-day production process,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

For the director-secretary Ademir Luis Griep, the event shows the strength of the union between cooperative and members. \u201cThe knowledge shared here is what drives us. When we invest in innovation and offer quality information, we are strengthening each property,\u201d he pointed out.<\/p>\n

\"\"Among the topics covered, one of the event's novelties was the presentation of a cover crop called Carinata. Considered a viable alternative for sustainable soil management, the Carinata plant attracted the attention of the producers present due to its ability to improve soil structure and add value to the off-season.<\/p>\n

Carbon credit<\/b><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Another highlight of the event was the Copagril Carbon Credit Program, which encourages the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices with a lower environmental impact. The initiative also opens up a new income opportunity for cooperative members. In fact, on June 17, Copagril will distribute funds to producers who have already joined the program.<\/p>\n
