Bill No. 975\/2025, authored by state deputy Gilberto Cattani, was approved this Wednesday (25\/06), in a second vote in the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso (ALMT), which revokes article 27 of Law No. 12.717\/2024 and eliminates the fee on the use of independence systems in the state. The proposal now goes to the governor for sanction.<\/p>\n
\nThe Mato Grosso Agriculture and Livestock Federation (Famato) closely monitored the entire process, meeting the needs of rural producers and participating proactively with parliamentarians. The entity provided data, technical information and consistent arguments that revealed the need to revoke the charge, which was considered unfair and harmful to the production sector.<\/p>\n
\nArticle 27 of the law established a security fee that, in some cases, exceeded R$$60 per hectare. This has caused great concern among producers, who already face high production costs and need to continually invest in technologies to increase the efficiency and sustainability of agricultural activity.<\/p>\n
\nFor Congressman Gilberto Cattani, the approved proposal corrects an error in the previous legislation. According to him, the charge imposed by Law No. 12,717\/2024 was planned and compromised the guidelines of many directive projects in the state. The repeal represents a break for producers and reinforces the state legislature's commitment to the development of agribusiness.<\/p>\n
\nFamato reinforces that it remains vigilant and active in defending the interests of the rural sector, promoting dialogue between the countryside and public institutions and contributing to the construction of policies that guarantee legal security, competitiveness and sustainability for agriculture in Mato Grosso.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
