Bean production in Goi\u00e1s continues at a positive pace and is expected to reach, in the 2024\/2025 harvest, the best result since the 2020\/2021 cycle. According to an analysis by the Agricultural Market Intelligence of the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply of Goi\u00e1s (Seapa), based on data from the National Supply Company (Conab), the estimate is that the state will produce 303.1 thousand tons of the grain, a result driven by a significant increase in the second harvest and the adoption of technologies and good agricultural practices in the field.<\/p>\n
\nWith this performance, Goi\u00e1s remains the fourth largest bean producer in the country and the second with the highest average crop yield (2.5 tons\/ha), behind only the Federal District.<\/p>\n

\nRegional highlights<\/strong> \nThe municipality of Cristalina leads the state rankings, with 15.71 TP4T of total production (55.7 thousand tons in 2023), and is also the fifth-largest producing municipality in Brazil. Other municipalities in Goi\u00e1s also stand out in national productivity. In the first harvest, Flores de Goi\u00e1s and Cabeceiras occupy first and second places, respectively. Formosa and Planaltina lead the rankings in the second harvest, and in the third harvest, Silv\u00e2nia and Catal\u00e3o are the outstanding municipalities in the 2024\/25 harvest.<\/p>\n \nExports on the rise<\/strong> \nIn 2025, shipments will continue to rise, solidifying Brazil and Goi\u00e1s as global leaders in bean production. At the same time, Brazilian imports remain on a downward trend, strengthening Brazil's production capacity and the sector's competitiveness in the global market.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
\nGoi\u00e1s also ranks second nationally in the production of colored beans, with 280.6 thousand tons expected, an increase of 5.4% compared to the previous season.<\/p>\n
\nThe international market also confirms the crop's positive momentum.
