Soybean production in Goi\u00e1s reached an unprecedented level in the 2024\/2025 harvest, with the best result ever recorded by the state. According to data from the 11th Survey of the National Supply Company (CONAB), Goi\u00e1s is estimated to have produced a record 20.4 million tons of soybeans, an increase of 21.4% compared to the previous cycle.<\/p>\n
According to the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (Seapa), this increase is the result of a combination of expanded planted area and, primarily, a jump in average productivity. The area cultivated with oilseeds increased to 4.9 million hectares, an increase of 2.5% compared to the 2023\/24 crop year. Productivity increased by 18.4%, reaching a historic high of 4.1 tons per hectare.<\/p>\n
With this performance, Goi\u00e1s consolidates its position as the national leader in productivity and the third-largest soybean producer in the country. "This historic result reinforces the collaborative work between producers, researchers, technicians, and effective public policies.
