With the end of the soybean health gap last Wednesday (24), Goi\u00e1s is preparing to begin another cycle of productivity and innovation in the field. To mark the moment, the State Opening of Soybean Planting \u2013 2025\/26 Harvest will take place this Saturday (27), starting the sowing of the main grain cultivated in Goi\u00e1s soil. The meeting will be at Fazenda Tamburi, in Nova Crix\u00e1s, a municipality located in the heart of the Araguaia Valley.<\/p>\n

The State Soybean Planting Opening Ceremony is a well-established milestone in the Goi\u00e1s agribusiness calendar. More than just celebrating the start of the new season, the event brings together producers, leaders, and authorities to analyze scenarios, share knowledge, and discuss the main challenges and opportunities of the harvest. For 2025\/26, the event is surrounded by positive expectations, driven by technology, research, and industry confidence.<\/p>\n

The most recent estimates from the IBGE, USDA, and Cogo Consultoria indicate significant growth, with an increase in planted area and productivity, driven by the use of technologies in the field and the expectation of a more favorable rainfall pattern, albeit under the influence of a possible low-intensity La Ni\u00f1a. Another point of debate in the sector is the suspension of the effects of the Soybean Moratorium, which could open new commercial prospects for the oilseed.<\/p>\n

According to Aprosoja-GO, the organization that promotes the event in the state, the figures for the next harvest are still uncertain. "Our perception is that the increase in area will be quite modest, especially since production costs are very high," says Aprosoja-GO president Clodoaldo Calegari.<\/p>\n

He points out that the last soybean harvest in Goi\u00e1s totaled 20.75 million tons, the largest volume in history. "In the last cycle, we had very favorable weather in both the first and second harvests. To maintain these production levels, we need positive weather," he emphasizes.<\/p>\n

The selection of Nova Crix\u00e1s to host this edition of the State Soybean Planting Opening Ceremony aims to recognize the work and dedication of local farmers and also demonstrate how production from the Araguaia Valley in Goi\u00e1s can solidify Goi\u00e1s as the third-largest grain producer in Brazil. Approximately 10% of soybeans and 15% of corn produced in Goi\u00e1s come from the Araguaia Valley, this agricultural frontier between Goi\u00e1s and the Brazilian Central-West region.<\/p>\n

The region has the potential to convert more than two million hectares of degraded pastureland into productive areas for the first harvest, reconciling increased agricultural production with environmental recovery in these areas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
