The Government of Goi\u00e1s recorded a surplus of US$1,500,000 in its trade balance from January to August 2025. This represents an increase of US$1,100,000 compared to the same period in 2024, and reflects exports worth US$1,500,000 in 2029, placing the state as Brazil's eighth-largest exporter throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Imports totaled US$1.5 billion, placing it eleventh as the largest importer in the country. This data comes from the Superintendence of Foreign Trade and International Investment Attraction, released by the Secretariat of Industry, Commerce, and Services (SIC). "Goi\u00e1s remains competitive in the international market, and we are working to further expand Goi\u00e1s' presence in foreign trade by focusing on opening new markets for our products," emphasizes SIC director Joel de Sant'Anna Braga Filho.<\/p>\n

In August alone, the trade balance had a positive balance of US$1,500,000.00 (637 million), with export values of US$1,500,000.00 (1 billion) and import values of US$1,500,000.00 (405 million), a positive variation of 48,800,000.00 (48,801,000.00) compared to the same month last year.<\/p>\n

Taking into account the first eight months of the year, the soybean complex led the export agenda, representing 54,42% of the state's external sales, followed by exports of meat (18,15%), ferroalloys (6,17%), sugar (4,27%) and corn complex (4,24%).<\/p>\n

Among the municipalities in Goi\u00e1s, Rio Verde remains prominent as the state's main exporting city, representing 27,59% of Goi\u00e1s' exports from January to August 2025. Next come Jata\u00ed (7,8%), Mozarl\u00e2ndia (4,52), Palmeiras de Goi\u00e1s (4,02%) and Alto Horizonte (3,19%).<\/p>\n

Goi\u00e1s' exports in 2025 were primarily destined for China, which remains the state's largest trading partner, accounting for 48,511 TP4T of total exports. China is also the main source of Goi\u00e1s' imports, concentrated in An\u00e1polis (39,151 TP4T), representing 23,391 TP4T of the total value.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
