The month of October brought a certain increase in demand for animals on the spot market, interrupting some price drops and giving way to small increases, according to Cepea surveys.<\/p>\n

As a result, cattle ranchers are regaining some enthusiasm for negotiations. This scenario is observed both in S\u00e3o Paulo and in other regions monitored by the Research Center.<\/p>\n

Dry weather and a lack of pasture mean the supply of grazing animals is extremely low. Among the confined lots, researchers explain that a large portion is committed to the industry, but the portion still to be sold has gradually increased.<\/p>\n

In the wholesale bone-in meat market in Greater S\u00e3o Paulo, there was a slight appreciation in all cuts (with firm prices) in recent days, in a context of sales considered normal for the beginning of the month, according to Cepea surveys.<\/p>\n

Regarding exports, Secex data analyzed by Cepea show that 348 thousand tons of beef (both fresh and processed products) were shipped in September, the largest monthly volume in the Secretariat's series, which began in 1997.<\/p>\n

As a result, total exports from January to September reached 2.41 million tons, surpassing the figure for the same period in 2024 by 15.4% and setting a new record. China and Hong Kong were the main drivers of this movement, accounting for 56.7% of the total meat sold by Brazil.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
