September's weather conditions divided the Brazilian agricultural landscape. In the South, good humidity favored the start of the grain harvest, allowing the planting of corn and soybeans to advance in states such as Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paran\u00e1. In the Central-West and Southeast, however, delayed and irregular rainfall brought uncertainty to producers, especially in Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, and S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n
In Mato Grosso, the start of the rains was still insufficient to guarantee an accelerated pace for planting, limiting the progress of soybean cultivation. In S\u00e3o Paulo and Minas Gerais, the water deficit compromised some of the temporary crops and caused concern for perennial crops.<\/p>\n
Among these, coffee was one of the most affected. The first rains stimulated flowering, but the lack of continuity worries coffee growers. In the case of oranges, the rainfall was also insufficient to guarantee uniform flowering. Sugarcane, however, showed recovery: the rains at the end of September helped replenish water and reduced wildfires, although they caused occasional pauses in harvesting and milling.<\/p>\n
For wheat, the weather was positive, favoring grain filling and harvest progress, mainly in Paran\u00e1 and S\u00e3o Paulo. Even with some losses due to frost, yields remained satisfactory. In Rio Grande do Sul, rainfall and mild temperatures contributed to the good development of the crops, compensating for the lower investment in the crop.<\/p>\n
Abroad, the United States maintains an optimistic outlook for corn and soybeans, despite localized weather risks. Meanwhile, in Argentina, the abundance of rain in the main producing regions has brought good prospects for the corn and wheat harvest, reinforcing regional optimism with the return of rainfall.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
