The credit line from the Regional Development Bank of the Extreme South (BRDE) is now available to help companies affected by the storms that hit Paran\u00e1 this weekend. The opening of the line is part of the package of measures announced on Monday (3) by Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior to assist in the recovery of the affected municipalities.<\/p>\n
The BRDE Promove\/Recupera Sul line of credit is aimed at companies, cooperatives, and rural producers that have suffered losses due to weather events and offers reduced interest rates, a 10-year repayment term, and a two-year grace period. BRDE will meet the demand of businesses located in cities that have declared a state of emergency or public calamity, and each client can borrow up to R$ 10 million.<\/p>\n
By early afternoon on Tuesday (4), 36 municipalities had registered occurrences in the State Civil Defense Coordination system, but storms, gales and hailstorms hit at least 40 cities in Paran\u00e1. Damage was recorded in homes, public buildings, rural roads, companies and industrial sheds.<\/p>\n
To mitigate this damage, in addition to the line of credit, the State Government will allocate R$ 50 million from the State Treasury to the State Fund for Public Calamities (Fecap), to assist municipalities in reconstruction efforts and aid to families.<\/p>\n
The state will also send machinery and resources for the reconstruction of roads and bridges, and the Civil Defense is directly assisting affected families with the delivery of roofing tiles, basic food baskets, and hygiene, cleaning, and bedding kits.<\/p>\n
