Brazilian chicken meat exports registered the second-best monthly result in the sector's history in October, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA). A total of 501,300 tons of meat were exported in the month, a figure that exceeded the volume shipped in the same period last year by 8.21%, which was 463,500 tons.<\/p>\n
With this, chicken meat exports for the year (accumulated volume between January and October) reached 4.378 million tons, a balance only 0.1% lower compared to the total recorded in the same period last year, with 4.380 million tons. \u201cOctober's performance is the highest since March 2023, when we recorded the sector's monthly record. With the significant shipments of the month, we practically eliminated the difference between the volumes shipped this year and last year, revising projections for a probable growth in tons shipped for the twelve months of 2025,\u201d assesses the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.<\/p>\n

October's export revenue reached US$865.4 million, a volume 4.31 times lower compared to the tenth month of 2024, which was US$904.4 million. For the year (January to October), the total reached US$8.031 billion, a result 1.81 times lower compared to the previous year, which was US$8.177 billion.<\/p>\n
As the main destination for chicken meat exports, South Africa imported 53,700 tons in October, a 126.91% increase compared to the previous year. Next are the United Arab Emirates, with 40,900 tons (+32% TP4T), Saudi Arabia, with 36,630 tons (+66.1% TP4T), the Philippines, with 34,000 tons (+38.2% TP4T), and Japan, with 29,700 tons (-25.5% TP4T). Paran\u00e1 remains the largest exporter of chicken meat in Brazil, with 205,100 tons (+7.9%), followed by Santa Catarina, with 111,600 tons (+5.8%), Rio Grande do Sul, with 60,900 tons (+8.8%), S\u00e3o Paulo, with 32,200 tons (+12.3%) and Goi\u00e1s, with 27,300 tons (+44.4%).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
