Corn prices remain firm in the domestic market, returning to levels seen in June of this year, according to a survey by Cepea.<\/p>\n

According to the Research Center, producers remain focused on planting the summer crop; in some regions of the country, heavy rains are putting agents on alert. Regarding negotiations, sellers are prioritizing fulfilling existing contracts and are waiting for further price increases before returning to the spot market.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, researchers explain that the upward price movement ends up being limited by lower demand. Buyers report having sufficient stocks for the short term and, therefore, acquire new lots on a case-by-case basis. These agents are eyeing this season's record production and the possibility that sellers may need to clear warehouses and\/or generate cash.<\/p>\n

Regarding Brazilian corn exports, data from Secex analyzed by Cepea shows that 6.5 million tons were shipped in October, a volume 14% lower than in September and only 1.5% higher than in October 2024. In the accumulated total for 2025, shipments total 29.82 million tons, 3.2% less than in the same period last year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
