ApexBrasil and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC), are holding the National Meeting of Agro and Agricultural Attach\u00e9s between Tuesday (25) and Friday (28), in Bras\u00edlia. The event seeks to bring together agricultural attach\u00e9s, productive sectors and government teams to align trade promotion strategies and expand access for Brazilian agribusiness to international markets.<\/p>\n
The program will bring together 54 agricultural attach\u00e9s, 40 on assignment and 14 newly appointed, as well as representatives from ApexBrasil's International Offices in Bogot\u00e1, Miami, Brussels, Moscow, Dubai, Lisbon, and Beijing. There will be four days of regional panels, technical debates, individual meetings, and collaboration between the government and the private sector.<\/p>\n
The official opening is scheduled for Wednesday (26), at 8:30 am, at the Windsor Plaza Bras\u00edlia Hotel, with the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos F\u00e1varo; the president of ApexBrasil, Jorge Viana; and authorities from MRE, MDIC, MDA, MPA, Embrapa, Sebrae and Conab. Ambassador Roberto Rodrigues, FAO's special representative for Cooperativism, will also participate in the event.<\/p>\n
The inaugural panel, \u201cOpening New Markets: a partnership between the public and private sectors,\u201d will be led by the Secretary of Commerce and International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture, Lu\u00eds Rua; the Agribusiness Manager of ApexBrasil, Laudemir M\u00fcller; and Ambassador Alex Giacomelli, Director of the Department of Trade Promotion, Investments and Agriculture of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n
The agenda also includes individual meetings between agribusiness entities, agricultural attach\u00e9s, and teams from ApexBrasil offices, focusing on topics such as opening and improving market access, trade promotion strategies, and institutional partnerships.<\/p>\n
Strengthening agriculture abroad<\/b><\/p>\n
The joint action between ApexBrasil, MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply) and MRE (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) has been consolidated as a strategic axis to strengthen the international presence of agribusiness. Between 2023 and 2025, the agencies, with the participation of MDIC (Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade), promoted 10 regional meetings of SECOMs (Special Secretariats for Communications), SECTECs (Special Secretariats for Technological Innovation and Communications) and Agricultural Attach\u00e9s in cities such as Johannesburg, Panama, Bogot\u00e1, Washington, Bangkok, Tokyo, Lisbon, Warsaw, Brussels and Dubai.<\/p>\n
These initiatives involved 212 Brazilian representatives abroad, including 131 SECOMs, 54 SECTECs, and 27 agricultural attach\u00e9s, as well as 38 companies and entities from the sector, with emphasis on segments such as animal protein, coffee, agribusiness, and leather.<\/p>\n
Over the past two years, the integrated strategy has resulted in more than 170 international initiatives in 42 countries, including seminars, business matchmaking sessions, workshops, and coordinated participation in trade fairs. These initiatives generated US$$ 18 billion in business and served more than three thousand Brazilian companies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
