The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) brought together, on Monday (24), Brazilian agricultural attach\u00e9s and representatives of agribusiness in Mato Grosso in a technical round of talks aimed at expanding international markets. The meeting sought to bring producers, cooperatives and industries closer to professionals working abroad monitoring consumption trends, sanitary requirements and commercial opportunities.<\/p>\n
The meeting took place alongside the inauguration of ApexBrasil's office in Cuiab\u00e1 and brought together 40 active attach\u00e9s, in addition to the 14 who will assume their roles at the beginning of 2026. Organized into thematic groups, they shared analyses on market behavior, tariff barriers, and ongoing international negotiations.<\/p>\n
Companies and cooperatives from the state participated to obtain personalized guidance and identify export niches with the greatest growth potential. Each meeting lasted 15 minutes, in a rotating format, which allowed for a wider range of consultations and a deeper technical understanding of the discussions.<\/p>\n
According to the Minister of Agriculture, Carlos F\u00e1varo, the initiative shortens the distance between the productive sector and the foreign market by bringing the two ends of the export chain closer together. He highlighted the importance of Mato Grosso, the national leader in the production of grains, fibers, and proteins, for the expansion of Brazilian agricultural sales.<\/p>\n
The Secretary of Trade and International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture, Luis Rua, emphasized that direct dialogue helps attach\u00e9s understand the needs of exporters and calibrate trade promotion strategies in the countries where they operate.<\/p>\n
The technical round reinforces the joint work between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and ApexBrasil in qualifying companies for foreign trade. Today, Brazil has 40 agricultural attach\u00e9s distributed across 38 strategic diplomatic posts, including China, the United States, the European Union, Japan, and countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, regions that concentrate a significant portion of global food consumption.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
