GTF, one of the six largest chicken meat producing companies in Brazil and one of the ten largest exporters of this protein in the country, has once again been recognized for its commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change. For the fourth consecutive year, the organization will be certified with the Paran\u00e1 Climate Seal, an initiative promoted by the Government of the State of Paran\u00e1, through the Secretariat for Sustainable Development (SEDEST). This year, the company was classified in Category B \u2013 Domestic Market, and the award ceremony took place at the Industry Campus, in Curitiba (PR), last Tuesday (2).<\/p>\n
Created in 2015, the Paran\u00e1 Climate Seal aims to recognize good ESG practices, monitor the environmental results of organizations, and encourage measures to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. Participation is voluntary and occurs through the submission of the Greenhouse Gas Emission Declaration, as provided for in the State Policy on Climate Change (Law No. 17.133\/2012) and regulated by Resolution No. 40\/2023.<\/p>\n
Recently, GTF was also awarded, for the second consecutive year, the SDG Gold Seal, a certification granted by the SDG Institute and accredited by the National Federation of Associations, Centers and Clubs of UNESCO in Brazil (BFUCA UNESCO).<\/p>\n
The achievement of this certification consolidates GTF's position among the leading organizations in sustainable transformation in Brazil. Among its notable actions are initiatives focused on combating poverty and hunger, access to quality health and education, gender equality, the provision of potable water and clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, decent work, combating climate change, and preserving ecosystems.<\/p>\n
