Between July and September, 15.81 million head of cattle were slaughtered, a volume 5.3% higher than that recorded in the same period of 2024 and 4.8% above the total for the second quarter of this year.<\/p>\n

The total weight of the carcasses also increased. In the quarter, the accumulated total reached 1.49 million tons, an increase of 6.1% compared to the 3rd quarter of last year and a growth of 4.8% compared to the previous quarter.<\/p>\n

According to Angela Lord\u00e3o, exports continue to play a central role in the industry's current positive performance. "External sales of pork have reached unprecedented levels in both volume and revenue, with the Philippines leading the purchases. In the domestic market, more affordable and convenient cuts are also driving consumption," she states.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
