More than 140 students, aged between 7 and 12 years old, from the Santa Rosa Municipal School in Jaciara, participated between December 1st and 10th in a transformative experience at Fazenda Sereno and Est\u00e2ncia Faculdade Eduvale. The experience was part of the 1st and 2nd Cycles of the Semeia Project, an initiative of the National Rural Learning Service of Mato Grosso (Senar-MT), carried out in partnership with the Jaciara Rural Union and with the support of the Municipal Government, through the Department of Education.<\/p>\n
Throughout the activities, the children had direct contact with different stages of the agricultural production process. They learned about soil preparation, vegetable identification, cultivation care, plant growth, and harvesting techniques. The program also addressed topics such as healthy eating, sustainability, and environmental preservation, broadening the students' understanding of the importance of agribusiness in everyday life.<\/p>\n
The president of the Jaciara Rural Union, Juliana Bortolini, highlighted the educational impact of the project: \u201cOur mission is to bring children closer to the countryside, showing them that agribusiness is made of science, care, and opportunities. It is gratifying to see their interest grow with each activity.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the visit to the rural property, the students were also able to learn firsthand about how cattle farming works. They observed processes such as artificial insemination, herd management, and the daily care of bulls, heifers, and other animals. The hands-on learning sparked curiosity and fascination in the young visitors.<\/p>\n
To conclude the day in a special way, the students participated in the production of beef hamburgers, which they prepared and tasted themselves, a moment that combined knowledge, flavor, and fun.<\/p>\n
Andreia Nascimento, a mobilizer for the Jaciara Rural Union, emphasized the importance of the initiative for the children's development: \u201cThe Semeia Project plants seeds of knowledge that they will carry with them throughout their lives. Many have discovered new vocations and realized that the countryside offers countless possibilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
