In the 3rd week of December 2025, the trade balance recorded a surplus of US$2.1 billion and a trade flow of US$12.8 billion, resulting from exports valued at US$7.46 billion and imports of US$5.4 billion. For the month, exports totaled US$21.6 billion and imports US$16.4 billion, with a positive balance of US$5.2 billion and a trade flow of US$38 billion.<\/p>\n

Preliminary Partial Trade Balance for the Month \u2013 3rd Week of December\/2025<\/a><\/p>\n

For the year, exports totaled US$339.4 billion and imports US$276.3 billion, resulting in a positive balance of US$63.1 billion and a trade flow of US$615.8 billion. These and other results were published this Monday (December 22nd) by the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (Secex\/MDIC).<\/p>\n

Monthly Comparison<\/h4>\n

In exports, comparing the averages up to the 3rd week of December 2025 (US$ 1.4 billion) with that of December 2024 (US$ 1.2 billion), there was a growth of 21.6%. Regarding imports, there was a growth of 13.1% when comparing the averages up to the 3rd week of December 2025 (US$ 1.1 billion) with that of December 2024 (US$ 964 million).<\/p>\n

Thus, up to the 3rd week of December 2025, the daily average of the total trade flow was US$2,531 million and the balance, also on a daily average basis, was US$349.62 million. Comparing this period with the average of December 2024, there was a growth of 17.81% in the trade flow.<\/p>\n

Exports and Imports by Sector<\/h4>\n

In the accumulated period up to the 3rd week of December 2025, compared to the same month of the previous year, the performance of the export sectors by daily average was as follows: growth of US$ 81.04 million (42.8%) in Agriculture; of US$ 125.92 million (52.1%) in Extractive Industry and of US$ 48.22 million (6.5%) in products of the Manufacturing Industry.<\/p>\n

In the accumulated period up to the 3rd week of December 2025, compared to the same month of the previous year, the performance of the importing sectors by daily average was as follows: growth of US$ 1.45 million (6.4%) in Agriculture; of US$ 9.5 million (24.5%) in Extractive Industry and of US$ 117.19 million (13.1%) in products of the Manufacturing Industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
