From January to December, US$23.6 billion was traded, according to data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC) collected by the Paraná Institute for Economic and Social Development (Ipardes). This is the second-best result in the series that began in 2019, second only to 2023, when US$25.3 billion was sent abroad.

The year 2025 was marked by sanitary embargoes on Brazilian agriculture following cases of avian flu in Rio Grande do Sul, increased import tariffs by the United States, and a drop in international commodity prices. Even so, Paraná surpassed the volume of goods sent abroad in 2024, which reached US$23.3 billion that year.

The year-on-year increase can be attributed to the expansion of sales of cereals, pork, and automobiles. In the first product, the increase in Paraná's export balance was 106%, jumping from US$$ 574 million in 2024 to US$$ 1.2 billion in 2025. Cereals accounted for 5% of the total sent to the world by the State.

Photo: Jonathan Campos/AEN

Pork sales registered a growth of 41.71% of total exports (TP4T), increasing from US$404 million to US$573 million, while Paraná's automobile exports increased from US$667 million to US$823 million. Together, they represented 5.91% of Paraná's exports in 2025, a growth of 1.3 percentage points compared to 4.61% of 2024.

According to the CEO of Ipardes, Jorge Callado, the results prove the competence of Paraná's exporting companies, overcoming the adversities imposed in the international arena. "Supported by the State Government, these companies not only managed, in many cases, to expand their participation in traditional markets, but also established new businesses in emerging countries, which explains the positive performance observed in 2025," he analyzed.

The top products exported by Paraná in 2025 are soybeans and chicken meat. Soybeans reached US$4.6 billion, representing 1/5 of all international trade.
