Soybeans are once again in the spotlight.\u00a0Economic Bulletin<\/a> from the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), of the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply, and everything indicates that it is heading towards a performance close to the historical record. The scenario appears to be positive for Paran\u00e1's agribusiness, and Thursday's Bulletin (15) also brings an analysis of the performance of fruit growing, and also a portrait of the current labor market, highlighting the absorption of foreign labor by the swine farming sector.<\/p>\n

In the case of soybeans, field conditions reinforce optimism regarding the 2025\/2026 harvest. The reassessment of the crops indicates that 90% of the areas are in good condition, a higher rate than recorded the previous week and better than that observed in the last eight harvests. With this, Paran\u00e1's production could reach approximately 22 million tons, a volume very close to the state record of 22.3 million tons obtained in the 2022\/2023 cycle.<\/p>\n

The first soybean harvests, concentrated mainly in the western part of the state, are already showing good signs of productivity, although they still represent a small portion of the total area sown.<\/p>\n

Despite the favorable production scenario, Deral warns of the need for caution, since most crops still have more critical development phases ahead.<\/p>\n

However, for commercialization, prices remain pressured by the stability of international quotations and the appreciation of the real, keeping the price of a sack of soybeans \u2013 in terms of value \u2013 at levels similar to those at the beginning of 2025.<\/p>\n

Regarding the labor market, the Bulletin presents data from the Annual Social Information Report (RAIS) showing that, at the end of 2024, immigrant workers occupied 15.6% of formal jobs in pig slaughterhouses in Brazil.<\/p>\n

In Paran\u00e1, this participation reached 8.4%, predominantly Haitians, Venezuelans, and Paraguayans. In the pig farming sector, the presence of foreigners is lower, but the state leads nationally in hiring, especially of Paraguayan workers.<\/p>\n

The survey reinforces the social and economic importance of pig farming, especially in a context of international migration flows.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
