Brazil is expected to maintain its growth rate in chicken meat production and exports throughout 2026, driven by more favorable feed costs and higher global demand. The outlook is considered positive for the sector, although biosecurity remains the main point of concern.<\/p>\n

Among the world's largest producers, China is expected to lead growth in 2026, with an estimated increase of 3.11 TP4T, according to projections from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Brazil follows, with a projected expansion of 1.61 TP4T, and the United States, with an increase of 11 TP4T. In international trade, Brazil stands out among exporters, with a projected increase of 5.51 TP4T, representing approximately 250,000 additional tons shipped.<\/p>\n

Another highlight is China in the export market. The country is expected to reach around 1.2 million tons exported in 2026, a volume that practically equals that of Thailand, the fourth largest global exporter. Three years ago, Chinese shipments were around 500,000 tons.<\/p>\n

This progress reflects gains in efficiency and competitiveness of Chinese industry, which has Japan and Hong Kong as its main destinations, in addition to expanding its presence in emerging markets in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Even so, the USDA projects that China will also register a strong increase in imports, estimated at 400,000 tons, the largest growth among the major importers.<\/p>\n

For Brazil, projections indicate a 21% increase in production and a 41% increase in exports by 2026, according to data from Ita\u00fa BBA Agro Consulting. The sector should benefit from another year of controlled feed costs, supported by the good performance of grain harvests. The first soybean and corn crops are showing positive results, as are the prospects for the second crop.<\/p>\n

With global chicken meat imports estimated to grow by 4.51 TPP4 in 2026, the environment remains favorable for international trade. The main challenge remains biosecurity, especially in controlling potential cases of avian influenza, a factor considered essential to keep foreign markets open and ensure the exploitation of opportunities throughout the year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
