Capal Cooperativa Agroindustrial brought together employees in Arapoti (PR), last week, for an awareness event regarding the 2025\/2026 summer harvest. The meeting marks the preparation for receiving the summer harvest at the headquarters and units, with emphasis on soybean and corn crops, and promotes alignment among the various sectors of the Cooperative that work on the operational front of receiving, processing and storing grains. Representatives from support areas directly related to receiving the harvest were also present.<\/p>\n
According to Capal's industrial director, Valqu\u00edria Demarchi, the involvement of all areas in the event, from operational to administrative, is important so that the cooperative can plan for a successful and incident-free harvest. "The goal is to receive the harvest calmly and support the cooperative member so they can manage the harvest effectively, picking at the right time and preserving the quality of the grains," she explains.<\/p>\n
The topics covered at the meeting included the field scenario, logistics, people management, workplace safety, environmental preservation, tax obligations, post-harvest planning, grain processing and storage. With the construction of a new silo complex in Arapoti, Capal's storage capacity will total 601,000 tons, considering all units.<\/p>\n
Agricultural engineer Eliezer Fatiga Solda, from the Agricultural Technical Assistance Department of Capal, assesses that the current harvest is within expectations and that there have not been many occurrences related to pests and diseases. \u201cIn general, crop development is very good. What has been happening is an irregularity in rainfall, but, in general, the fields are receiving the necessary amount of rain. The productive potential is within expectations, except for specific cases of water deficit,\u201d he comments.<\/p>\n
According to the latest bulletin from the Department of Rural Economy (Deral) of the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab), released last week, soybeans already occupy an area of 4.8 million hectares planted in Paran\u00e1.
