Vetanco, a laboratory dedicated to animal health solutions, conducted a technical visit to commercial egg-laying poultry farmers in Boa Vista (RR), a strategic hub for egg production in Northern Brazil, between February 4th and 6th. The initiative, carried out in partnership with Basevet, aimed to familiarize the team with the regional reality and strengthen relationships with poultry farmers.<\/p>\n
During the three days, the Vetanco team visited properties in the region alongside the local partner, providing direct technical support, knowledge sharing, and discussion of the main challenges faced by production systems. This initiative reinforces the joint work with strategic distributors and the commitment to solutions aligned with the demands of the field.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis visit allowed us to better understand the needs of the region and the challenges faced by poultry farmers, enabling us to bring them solutions that truly make sense to boost their businesses. Being close to the producer, alongside our distributor, is fundamental to strengthening the entire chain,\u201d says David Felipe, North and Northeast Territory Coordinator at Vetanco.<\/p>\n
In addition to technical support, the visit also had a strategic character, expanding the presence of Vetanco's portfolio in the region. "The poultry market in Roraima is experiencing a period of strong expansion, with investments in cutting-edge technology aimed at both supplying the local market and serving nearby markets, such as Amazonas, as well as exporting to neighboring countries," concludes David.<\/p>\n
According to the Municipal Livestock Survey (PPM) of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Roraima produced approximately 13.5 million dozen chicken eggs \u2013 more than double the amount recorded a decade earlier \u2013 in 2014, the total reached 5.1 million dozen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
