The wheat sector of S\u00e3o Paulo will meet on March 5th for the first meeting of the state's Wheat Sector Chamber, which will be held in the auditorium of the Cap\u00e3o Bonito Cooperative, starting at 10 am. The meeting will be broadcast online via the Sindustrigo channel on [social media platform name]. YouTube<\/a>It promotes strategic debates focused on the productive and market landscape of culture in the state, in addition to electing the president who will lead the group for two years.<\/p>\n

Among the topics on the agenda are the evaluation of available materials and new developments for the next harvest, with presentations from OR Sementes, GDM Seeds, and the Agronomic Institute of Campinas (IAC). Also to be discussed are the progress of planting, production and productivity expectations based on reports from the state's main cooperatives, and the wheat market situation in national and international markets, which will be presented by Jonathan Pinheiro, Risk Management consultant at StoneX.<\/p>\n

According to the president of the Chamber, Nelson Montagna, the meeting marks the beginning of a strategic cycle for the sector which, given the current price levels, expects to maintain the cultivated area in S\u00e3o Paulo, with possible adjustments related to crop rotation.<\/p>\n

The director explains that the last harvest was of good quality and that the outlook is for a repeat of this performance in the next cycle. Montagna also reinforces the importance of maintaining incentives to increase production in S\u00e3o Paulo, especially considering the expected growth in sugarcane milling in the state, driven by tax reform.<\/p>\n

"S\u00e3o Paulo should significantly expand its processing capacity, which opens up space for greater absorption of locally produced wheat. Although the reform may favor the competitiveness of grains from other regions, the state remains in a favorable position to strengthen its own production chain," he says.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
