The Brazilian Aquaculture Association (Peixe BR) is participating in Seafood Expo North America, considered the largest business fair in the fish sector in North America. The event started last Sunday (15) and continues until this Tuesday (17) in Boston (USA). The Brazilian presence occurs at a strategic moment to strengthen fish exports to the United States, the main destination for products such as tilapia and tambaqui.<\/p>\n
According to Francisco Medeiros, president of Peixe BR, this moment represents an important opportunity to strengthen relations with the region and expand the promotion of Brazilian tilapia. "Tilapia is the most exported fish from Brazil, and along with tambaqui, the United States is the main buyer of these products, especially fresh tilapia fillets," he emphasizes.<\/p>\n

According to him, with the new import tariff of 10%, Brazil is returning to the market with considerable strength due to the quality of its products. "It's time to talk to American buyers and strengthen partnerships," he emphasizes.<\/p>\n
The organization's presence at the event also reinforces its work promoting Brazilian fish in the international market, highlighting traceability, sustainability, and the growth potential of national fish farming. Alongside Francisco, the vice-president of the Board of Directors of Peixe BR, Juliano Kubitza, is also leading this mission.<\/p>\n
In addition to the organization's institutional participation, member companies will also have their own stands at the fair, showcasing their products to the international market and expanding business opportunities with importers and distributors. Among the confirmed Brazilian companies are Ayamo, Brazilian Fish, Copacol, Zaltana, and Mar & Terra.<\/p>\n
As a business hub for the sector, the fair brings together buyers, suppliers, and professionals from the seafood industry worldwide and is considered one of the main global meeting points for the activity.
