Grain production in the 2025\/26 crop year could reach 356.3 million tons. The data is available in... 7th Grain Survey<\/a> for the current cycle, released this Tuesday (14) by the National Supply Company (Conab). The estimated volume represents an increase of 4.1 million tons compared to the 2024\/25 season and an increase of 2.9 million tons compared to the 6th Survey published in the previous month. If the result is confirmed, this will be a new record in the volume to be harvested by Brazilian producers.<\/p>\n

The area sown in the current cycle is expected to register a growth of 2%, projected at 83.3 million hectares, while productivity should increase from 4,310 kilograms per hectare in the last crop year to 4,276 kilograms per hectare in the 2025\/26 crop year. Even with the projected reduction of 0.8%, this is the second-best average national performance ever recorded in the Company's historical series.<\/p>\n

Conab forecasts a new record soybean production, estimated at 179.2 million tons. Reduced rainfall in March ensured better field conditions for the harvest to progress, reaching 85.71 TP4T of the area. Even with important soybean-producing states showing a lower average performance than in the previous cycle, the national average productivity of the oilseed crops was the best ever recorded, projected at 3,696 kilograms per hectare this cycle.<\/p>\n

For corn, the second most cultivated crop in the country, Conab expects a total production of 139.6 million tons, representing<\/p>\n

A decrease of 1.11 TP4T compared to the previous cycle. While the cultivation of the first corn crop registered an increase in area, estimated at 4.1 million hectares, reflecting a rise in production, potentially reaching 28 million tons; the second corn crop is expected to harvest 109.1 million tons, a reduction of 3.61 TP4T compared to the volume obtained in the 2024\/25 season. The sowing of the second corn cycle is in its final phase, and the crops are in the germination and flowering stages.<\/p>\n

According to a survey by Conab, a lower rice production is also expected. In the current harvest, production is estimated at 11.1 million tons, 12.91 TP4T less than the volume produced in the previous harvest. This result is mainly attributed to a 13.11 TP4T reduction in the planted area, combined with less favorable weather conditions in some fields. The harvest in the main producing states reaches 721 TP4T in Rio Grande do Sul, 931 TP4T in Santa Catarina, and 521 TP4T in Tocantins.<\/p>\n

Like rice, total bean production is estimated at 2.9 million tons, a reduction of 5.21 TP4T compared to the previous harvest. Even with this decrease, the estimated volume for the 2025\/26 harvest ensures domestic supply.<\/p>\n

For cotton, the expectation is for a harvest of 3.8 million tons of lint, a reduction of 5.81 TP4T compared to the previous cycle, reflecting a decrease of 2.11 TP4T in the planted area, estimated at 2 million hectares. Up to the time of the research, weather conditions were favorable, and the crops showed good development.<\/p>\n

Market <\/strong><\/p>\n

In this survey, the Company adjusted its estimates for the corn carryover stock, since total corn production was readjusted to 139.6 million tons. Therefore, the new expectation is for a volume of 12.8 million tons at the end of January 2027.<\/p>\n

Exports are still projected at 46.5 million tons, while domestic consumption has seen a slight variation, now estimated at 96.5 million tons.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
