March was marked by strong climatic contrasts in Brazil, directly affecting the pace of the 2025\/26 soybean harvest. Above-average rainfall prevailed in the Midwest and North of the country, while the South faced periods of drought.<\/p>\n

In the Midwest, particularly in Goi\u00e1s, frequent rainfall hampered harvest progress throughout the month and also impacted the planting of the second corn crop. In the Matopiba region, the high and irregular volume of rain\u2014especially in Maranh\u00e3o and Tocantins\u2014delayed harvesting in the later-planted areas. In some regions, the excess moisture even compromised grain quality.<\/p>\n

According to data from Ita\u00fa BBA Agro Consulting, the operational delays recorded in March increased the risks for the second corn crop, especially due to the tighter planting window.<\/p>\n

Given this scenario, the market is closely monitoring weather forecasts for the end of April and the beginning of May. This period will be crucial, as a large portion of the crops will be in the reproductive stage in the states of Paran\u00e1, Goi\u00e1s, and Mato Grosso do Sul, requiring regular rainfall to ensure crop development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
