A survey by the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (IMEA) indicates that the total number of jobs in the sector has more than doubled, jumping from approximately 173,000 in 2006 to an estimated 449,000 in 2026. This growth reveals not only the expansion of production but also the capacity of agribusiness to absorb labor and keep pace with the state&#039;s economic development.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, this movement has gained even more momentum. Starting in 2021, the sector began to register a faster pace of job creation, reflecting increased productivity, the expansion of cultivated areas, and the strengthening of the production chain. This scenario reinforces the strategic role of agriculture in creating opportunities, impacting everything from field activities to the various links that support production, such as transportation, storage, and services.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the work of the Mato Grosso Soybean and Corn Producers Association is fundamental to strengthening rural producers and ensuring conditions for the sustainable growth of the sector. The organization develops actions focused on training, technical assistance, advocacy, and the promotion of initiatives that contribute to production efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>The vice-president of Aprosoja MT for the northern region, Diogo Balistieri, explains that agribusiness plays a central role in job creation by boosting not only activities within rural properties, but an entire production chain involving transportation, storage, industry, and services. Wherever agribusiness arrives, there is an increase in income and job opportunities. Development indicators are higher in agricultural areas, showing and proving that where there is agribusiness, there is full employment and development,\u201d highlights the vice-president of Aprosoja MT for the northern region.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to job creation, agribusiness also stands out for its weight in the Mato Grosso economy, accounting for more than half of the state&#039;s economic activity. The sector&#039;s strong participation demonstrates how the performance of agriculture is directly linked to regional development, boosting investments, stimulating different segments, and creating an environment conducive to expanding job opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>The 2nd Administrative Director of Aprosoja MT, Jorge Diego Giacomelli, emphasizes that by supporting producers and acting on strategic agendas, Aprosoja MT also stimulates the development of the production chain, directly impacting job creation and income generation throughout the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAprosoja MT plays a crucial role in supporting rural producers, ensuring they remain active, strengthened, and united as a class. Consequently, by keeping this productive class fully active, developing their work and generating wealth, it contributes to a stronger agricultural sector, a more strengthened state, and a more vibrant economy,\u201d adds Giacomelli.<\/p>\n<p>Given this scenario, agribusiness reaffirms its role as one of the main drivers of development in Mato Grosso, not only due to its productive capacity, but also its ability to generate opportunities and support thousands of families.
