The fat cattle market experienced changes in its trading pattern throughout the year, with increased use of forward contracts between ranchers and meatpacking plants. This model reduced price volatility and helped to extend slaughter schedules, especially in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n
In October, prices continued to rise, but at a slower pace than historically observed for the period, as a significant portion of the supply had already been negotiated in advance. Prices remained firm, with regional variations related to the availability of animals.<\/p>\n
In the replacement market, prices rose more sharply. Calves and lean steers saw price increases exceeding those of finished steers, reflecting a lower supply of young animals and increased demand for feedlot operations. During the same period, exports reached a monthly record, with over 320,000 tons shipped.<\/p>\n

In the year to date, Brazilian beef cattle farming recorded one of the best performances in the series. Brazil surpassed the United States and took the lead in world beef production, according to data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Exports exceeded the 3 million ton mark for the first time, totaling approximately 3.46 million tons for the year.<\/p>\n
China remained the main destination for Brazilian beef, followed by the United States. Domestic production advanced with increased slaughter, especially of females, and greater use of feedlots, consolidating 2025 as a period of strong external demand, increased supply, and less price fluctuation in the domestic market.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
