The Symposium on Innovations in Commercial Egg Production will be held on May 20th and 21st at the Atlante Plaza Hotel in Recife (PE), bringing together experts from Brazil and abroad to discuss technical and economic aspects of egg production. Promoted by the Foundation for Support of Animal Science and Technology (Facta), the meeting will focus on debates about the market, production costs, nutrition, animal health, and product quality, with an emphasis on the realities of poultry farms.<\/p>\n

The program begins on Wednesday (20) with a panel dedicated to the market. The opening will be conducted by Jairo Aren\u00e1zio, from PlumaGen, with an analysis of the scenarios for egg production in Brazil in 2026 and 2027. Following this, Fernando Carrasquer, from H&N Spain, will present an overview of European production. The impact of tax reform on rural producers will be addressed by Lucidio Almeida Galv\u00e3o, from LRA Advocacia.<\/p>\n
In the afternoon, the discussions move on to cost structure and production efficiency. Topics include farm sizing, cost reduction strategies, and poultry gut health. The day concludes with a nutrition panel, including discussions on split feeding, the relationship between nutrition and egg quality, and practical approaches to improving production performance.<\/p>\n
On Thursday (21), the program focuses on health and biosecurity, with emphasis on the prevention of diseases such as avian influenza, salmonella and laryngotracheitis. Technicians from the public sector and industry also discuss Brazil's position in relation to other producing countries and the importance of water quality in production.<\/p>\n
The agenda also includes topics related to marketing and production management. The viability of exporting by companies from the Northeast will be analyzed in one of the panels, in addition to content on environmental control, self-monitoring programs, and strategies to extend the productive life of laying hens, including cage-free systems.<\/p>\n
The symposium aims to integrate different areas of the production chain, with technical discussions focused on decision-making in the field and the adaptation of farms to sanitary, economic, and market requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
