The weather forecast for the Central-West region of Brazil shows an important change in weather conditions for the coming days. After a long period marked by heat and low humidity, rain is returning to productive areas of the region, especially in Mato Grosso do Sul. This information was presented during the Tempo & Clima program by MetSul meteorologist Estael Sias.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the expert, the current scenario is more favorable for the formation of instability. "We have a more optimistic forecast for the Central-West region, with rain covering a large part of the region in the coming days," she stated.<\/span><\/p>\n Mato Grosso do Sul is expected to receive the highest rainfall amounts. Municipalities near the border with Paraguay are already starting to receive rain this Friday, with accumulations between 10 and 12 millimeters in cities such as Dourados, Iguatemi, and Tacuru.<\/span><\/p>\n On Sunday, the instability intensifies and spreads across areas of northern Mato Grosso do Sul, also reaching parts of Mato Grosso and southern Goi\u00e1s. By Monday, the weather map shows rain distributed over much of the region.<\/span><\/p>\n According to Estael, Mato Grosso do Sul will be the state most benefited by rainfall in the next five days. Some locations could accumulate between 50 and 70 millimeters during this period.<\/span><\/p>\n "The heaviest rainfall will be concentrated in Mato Grosso do Sul, precisely because of the sequence of several consecutive days of instability," explained the meteorologist.<\/span><\/p>\n Among the cities with the highest expected rainfall amounts are Para\u00edso das \u00c1guas, Camapu\u00e3, Jauru, and municipalities near the border with Goi\u00e1s and Mato Grosso. In some areas, daily accumulations could reach up to 35 millimeters.<\/span><\/p>\n Even though the rain is irregular, the forecast is considered positive for the productive sector. According to Estael, the return of moisture helps to reduce the impacts of the dry period typical of this time of year.<\/span><\/p>\n "The rain brings relief to the crops and improves soil moisture in several producing areas," he highlighted.<\/span><\/p>\n In Goi\u00e1s, rain is expected to fall mainly in the central and southern parts of the state. Meanwhile, northern Goi\u00e1s will remain with dry weather and high temperatures.<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to the rain, the advance of a new mass of cold air should cause a sharp drop in temperatures in the Midwest between Monday and Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n In Mato Grosso do Sul, the cooling will be more intense in the southern and southwestern regions. "We will have highs between 16 and 18 degrees in the south of the state, which is quite cold for this time of year," said Estael.<\/span><\/p>\n In Cuiab\u00e1, the forecast indicates milder temperatures, with highs between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius on Monday. However, areas in northern Mato Grosso and northern Goi\u00e1s are expected to continue experiencing temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the meteorologist, the advance of the cold air will be partial. While western Mato Grosso feels the relief, regions closer to Par\u00e1 and Tocantins remain under the influence of the heat.<\/span><\/p>\n The arrival of polar air reignites concerns among cattle ranchers in Mato Grosso do Sul, following recent losses due to hypothermia in cattle herds.<\/span><\/p>\n "We had a very sad situation in Mato Grosso do Sul, with animal losses due to the intense cold," Estael recalled during the program.<\/span><\/p>\n Last week, some regions recorded temperatures below four degrees. Now, although the new cold air mass is less intense, producers should resume monitoring weather conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n "Between Tuesday and Wednesday, we will have temperatures between eight and ten degrees in parts of southern Mato Grosso do Sul," explained the specialist.<\/span><\/p>\n She points out that the cold weather is not expected to reach the same intensity as previously observed, but recommends paying special attention to herd management, especially in open areas that are more vulnerable to wind.<\/span><\/p>\n For the agricultural sector, the combination of rain and falling temperatures tends to bring temporary benefits to crops.
