Soybean futures traded on the Chicago Board of Trade are recovering, reflecting progress in trade negotiations between the United States and China. This movement comes after the Chinese government committed to increasing purchases of US agricultural products, including an annual acquisition of US$17 billion and approximately 25 million tons of US-produced soybeans.<\/p>\n

Another factor reinforcing American competitiveness in the international market is the devaluation of the dollar against the real, with the US currency trading below R$ 5.00. This scenario tends to favor US exports in the coming months.<\/p>\n

Despite this, researchers from Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics<\/span><\/span> They believe that Chinese demand for Brazilian soybeans should remain strong. This expectation is supported by the lower export premium practiced in Brazil, a condition that keeps the national oilseed competitive in the global market.<\/p>\n

According to Cepea, the price increase observed in the Brazilian domestic market last week was mainly linked to strong demand for soybeans, especially from the international market.<\/p>\n

Data from Foreign Trade Secretariat<\/span><\/span> Data shows that, considering the first 10 working days of the month, the daily average of Brazilian soybean exports already exceeds the volume recorded in the previous month by 18.5%.<\/p>\n

The performance maintains the positive pace of national shipments after the record achieved by Brazil in April, when the country registered the highest volume of oilseed exports for the period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
