According to an analysis by Jardel Oliveira de Paula, the August schedule already totaled 407,700 tons in six shipments, indicating a change in scale in the cereal&#039;s external sales.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_3_sidebar_mobile\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"mb-4\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_4_conteudo_desktop\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"d-none d-lg-block mb-md-4\">\n<\/div>\n<p>The resumption of access to China was made possible by the sanitary and phytosanitary protocol signed in May 2025. After the authorization of ten Brazilian establishments at the end of that year, the first shipment took place in January 2026, with approximately 25.8 tons, in an operation considered a test. Months later, the movement gained volume, with operations planned in Santos and Paranagu\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>The increase in exports is occurring against a backdrop of strong supply expansion. Conab estimated Brazilian sorghum production at 7.56 million tons in the 2025\/26 crop year, a 23.81% increase over the previous cycle. This growth creates conditions to expand foreign sales, but also increases the need for storage, segregation, traceability, and standardization of batches.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_4_conteudo_mobile\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"mb-4\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_5_conteudo_desktop\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"d-none d-lg-block mb-md-4\">\n<\/div>\n<p>The new demand may also alter price formation in the domestic market. Sorghum, traditionally linked to corn due to its use in animal feed and other industrial applications, will now have export parity as an additional benchmark. If external remuneration exceeds domestic remuneration, competition for origination is likely to increase.<\/p>\n<p>The main challenge now is to consolidate a supply chain capable of guaranteeing volume, quality, and consistency.
