According to data released by the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), rainfall totals between August 24th and 31st could exceed 150 millimeters in areas of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_3_sidebar_mobile\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"mb-4\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_4_conteudo_desktop\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"d-none d-lg-block mb-md-4\">\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The week began with dry and stable weather in the three southern states, but the scenario should gradually change in the coming days. The first change occurs with the formation of a low-pressure system associated with the propagation of a surface trough.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">On Tuesday the 25th, instability begins to increase, preparing for the advance of rainfall across the region. The forecast indicates showers accompanied by thunderstorms in eastern Paran\u00e1, moving towards northern Santa Catarina throughout Wednesday the 26th. By the end of Wednesday, the trend is for a decrease in instability in these areas. The respite, however, should be short-lived.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">A new cold front will begin to change the weather again starting Thursday afternoon, the 27th, this time with a greater impact on Rio Grande do Sul. According to Inmet, the system favors the formation of unstable areas and should cause showers with thunderstorms in the state at the end of the day.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_4_conteudo_mobile\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"mb-4\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_5_conteudo_desktop\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"d-none d-lg-block mb-md-4\">\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Initially, the heaviest rainfall is expected in southern and eastern Rio Grande do Sul. Inmet forecasts daily rainfall exceeding 50 mm in areas of the South until the end of the analyzed period.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Between August 24th and 31st, the institute&#039;s numerical model indicates the possibility of more than 150 mm of rainfall in the north, northeast, and south-central regions of Rio Grande do Sul, as well as in southern Santa Catarina.
