{"id":28249,"date":"2026-09-17T14:21:57","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T18:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/belacereais.com.br\/2026\/exportacoes\/busca-por-ampliacao-de-exportacoes-de-carne-suina-ao-japao\/"},"modified":"2026-09-17T14:21:57","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T18:21:57","slug":"busca-por-ampliacao-de-exportacoes-de-carne-suina-ao-japao","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/belacereais.com.br\/en\/2026\/exportacoes\/busca-por-ampliacao-de-exportacoes-de-carne-suina-ao-japao\/","title":{"rendered":"Seeking to expand pork exports to Japan."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.agrolink.com.br\/upload\/imagens-resizes\/8574e747808f4becafdf3e8043cdeb7c_858x483.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"section-description section-description-noticias mt-3\">\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The initiative seeks to strengthen relations with the second-largest destination for exports of chicken, pork, and eggs by 2026; among its objectives was to expand the shipment of Brazilian pork to the Japanese market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">To strengthen ties with one of the most traditional destinations for animal protein in Brazil, the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), held a gastronomic event with Japanese importers and stakeholders on Wednesday evening (16), in Tokyo.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_3_sidebar_mobile\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"mb-4\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_4_conteudo_desktop\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"d-none d-lg-block mb-md-4\">\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Held at a branch of the Brazilian steakhouse chain Barbacoa in the Japanese capital, the initiative featured cuts and dishes made with chicken and pork produced in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The action brought to the table, among other topics, the opportunity to expand Brazilian pork trade with Japan. Currently, Brazilian authorities are seeking recognition of states outside of Santa Catarina (the only one authorized to ship the product to that destination) as free of foot-and-mouth disease without vaccination (a status already achieved with the World Organisation for Animal Health, and which is also required by Japanese authorities).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The event was attended by the Secretary of Trade and International Relations for Agribusiness of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Augusto Billi, as well as representatives from the Brazilian Embassy in Tokyo and companies that export animal protein to the Asian destination.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_4_conteudo_mobile\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"mb-4\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_5_conteudo_desktop\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"d-none d-lg-block mb-md-4\">\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Currently, Japan is the second largest importer of Brazilian chicken, pork, and eggs. During the first eight months of 2026 (January to August), the country imported 451,900 tons (322,200 tons of chicken, 127,200 tons of pork, and 2,500 tons of eggs), generating total revenue of US$1.268 billion during that period.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\u201cIt was a great opportunity for integration between the main importers of Brazilian products and Brazilian companies and entities. The relationship between the two countries is marked by tradition, both in terms of cultural and commercial ties, since the Japanese market has been demanding our products for more than three decades.
