Barter transforms part of the costs into a future commitment to grain delivery, while hedging acts on exposure to price fluctuations, being able to fix references or establish floors through options.<\/p>\n<p>The tools do not eliminate risks related to weather, productivity, or crop failure, and require attention to costs, deadlines, guarantees, and committed volumes.
