According to data released by Emater/RS-Ascar this Thursday (08), frequent rains keep soil moisture high, hinder the entry of machinery into the fields and limit the progress of sowing. The average state price of the 60-kilo sack also fell during the week.

Soybean planting is still in its early stages, concentrated mainly in areas authorized for early planting in September. To date, this planting has not been statistically significant.

Excess moisture in the soil, caused by heavy and frequent rainfall, restricts machinery traffic and reduces operational conditions for starting work. As a result, areas under preparation predominate, with advanced desiccation and ready to receive seeds as soon as soil moisture allows.

Some of the crops planted early are showing good emergence and plant stand. However, in the areas affected by hail, damage was recorded, and the plants' recovery capacity is still being monitored.

Ground cover with oats and ryegrass performs well in protecting against erosion and suppressing weeds. However, the large volume of straw and the need to retain moisture can make sowing operations difficult.

Emater/RS-Ascar estimates that 6,645,384 hectares of soybeans will be cultivated in Rio Grande do Sul in the 2026/2027 crop season. The average productivity is projected at 3,183 kg/ha, with an estimated production of 21,151,135 tons. Planting conditions and productivity expectations vary among administrative regions. In Bagé, heavy rains marked the beginning of the sowing period, with little activity in the fields. Areas resulting from integration with livestock farming are being prepared, especially where there is little vegetation cover, compaction, and signs of trampling.

In the Bagé region, the estimated area under cultivation is 1,020,000 hectares, with a yield of 2,403 kg/ha. In Caxias do Sul, planting has not yet begun, and the forecast is for 256,503 hectares and a yield of 3,663 kg/ha.

Erechim has the highest projected productivity among the regions mentioned, with 3,743 kg/ha for an estimated area of 248,475 hectares. However, there are indications of a lower technological level in crop establishment, due to the reduced use of rural credit for financing. In the Ijuí region, sowing did not advance due to high soil moisture. The areas planted early represent 0.2% of the estimated area and show good emergence and stand. The regional projection is 1,007,031 hectares, with a productivity of 3,663 kg/ha.

In the regions of Lajeado, Passo Fundo, Pelotas, and Porto Alegre, the projected soybean area is 24,209 hectares, 642,800 hectares, 515,970 hectares, and 188,158 hectares, respectively. Estimated yields are 3,326 kg/ha in Lajeado, 3,704 kg/ha in Passo Fundo, 2,606 kg/ha in Pelotas, and 2,824 kg/ha in Porto Alegre.

In Santa Maria, the forecast is for 1,036,859 hectares to be cultivated, the largest regional area dedicated to oilseeds in the state. Productivity is estimated at 3,062 kg/ha, while the areas continue to be prepared for planting. In the Santa Rosa region, approximately 2% of the 786,234 hectares planned have already been sown, mainly in areas where planting was brought forward from September 15th. Frequent rains have limited the pace of operations, which are concentrated on desiccation and soil preparation.

Crops planted in September also suffered hail damage, and the plants' regrowth capacity is being monitored. Regional productivity is projected at 3,215 kg/ha. In Soledade, many areas have already been desiccated and are ready to receive seeds, but producers are waiting for soil friability to improve. The regional estimate is 487,640 hectares cultivated, with a productivity of 3,275 kg/ha.

In addition to the difficulties at the start of planting, soybeans experienced a drop in the average state price. According to data released by Emater/RS-Ascar in its weekly price survey, the price of a 60-kilogram bag fell by 1.61%, from R$ 142.00 to R$ 139.71. At the Cruz Alta Grain Exchange, the reported price for the available product was R$ 149.00 per 60-kilogram bag. The progress of sowing will depend on improved soil moisture conditions, which will allow the resumption of operations in areas prepared for the 2026/2027 crop.

THE Bela Cereais works with the best grains on the market and also keeps you up to date with the latest news and analyses on agribusiness.
Don't forget to follow our social networks.

Access News Source

[258
244,248,255,249,254,250,246,247,256,245,253,252,251
post-28638","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-safra","tag-agrolink","tag-agrotoxicos","tag-artigos-tecnicos","tag-classificados","tag-colunistas","tag-compra","tag-cotacoes","tag-defensivos","tag-eventos","tag-noticias","tag-precos-agricolas","tag-previsao-do-tempo","tag-venda
["GET
