Planting bean<\/a> The first crop is progressing at different paces in Rio Grande do Sul, limited by high soil moisture and mild temperatures, which also slow down the initial development of the plants. According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar this Thursday (08), the State is expected to cultivate 24,587 hectares, while the average price of the 60 kilo sack rose 3.97% last week.\n<\/p>\n

Commercial bean crops are in the planting phase, while subsistence crops have already been completed in lower altitude areas. However, excess soil moisture and mild temperatures have restricted the pace of sowing and slowed initial growth in some areas.<\/p>\n

The already planted crops are in vegetative development, with significant leaf growth and changes in plant architecture due to lower temperatures. A localized increase in the incidence of insect pests has also been observed. Emater\/RS-Ascar projects the cultivation of 24,587 hectares of beans in the first harvest, with an initial estimated productivity of 1,759 kg\/ha.\n<\/p>\n

In the Emater\/RS-Ascar administrative region of Iju\u00ed, sowing remained at 62%, with no progress during the analyzed period. The plants are in vegetative development, with large leaves and shortened internodes.<\/p>\n

The region also recorded an increase in the incidence of diabrotica, an insect pest that requires attention from producers during crop monitoring.<\/p>\n

In Pelotas, planting has reached 5% of the estimated area for the harvest. The first crops are concentrated in the municipalities of Pelotas, Amaral Ferrador, Herval, and S\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o do Sul.<\/p>\n

In the administrative region of Soledade, plantings intended for family subsistence have already been completed in the Lower Vale do Rio Pardo, where commercial cultivation has little presence.<\/p>\n

In the Centro Serra and Alto da Serra do Botucara\u00ed regions, commercial areas are predominantly prepared, and some have already been sown. However, high soil moisture hinders the progress of operations, while mild and cold temperatures reduce the initial growth of plants. In the Soledade region as a whole, the sown area reaches 30%.<\/p>\n

In addition to field conditions, the market is registering an increase in bean prices. According to data released by Emater\/RS-Ascar in its weekly price survey, the average state price per 60-kilogram sack increased by 3.97%, rising from R$ 196.78 to R$ 204.60. This price increase is occurring while the planting of the first crop continues to be conditioned by soil moisture conditions and temperatures, which influence the pace of operations and the initial development of the crops.\n<\/p>\n
