According to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BCBA), excess moisture, low temperatures, and insufficient solar radiation are hindering operations and affecting crop growth.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_3_sidebar_mobile\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"mb-4\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_4_conteudo_desktop\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"d-none d-lg-block mb-md-4\">\n<\/div>\n<p>The planting of commercial grain corn for the 2026\/27 crop season reached 34.81 TP4T of the projected 8.4 million hectares, about five percentage points ahead of the previous season. Rainfall slowed in the central and southern regions. In planted areas, there are isolated problems with emergence and yellowing, although the overall condition remains predominantly normal to good.<\/p>\n<p>In sunflower planting, progress advanced 5.8 percentage points during the week, reaching 41.91 TP4T of the projected 3.1 million hectares. In the south, rain and cold weather are delaying work, while the forecast of further precipitation raises doubts about meeting planting plans. Caterpillars and birds are also reducing plant populations in some areas.\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_4_conteudo_mobile\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"mb-4\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"agk_14000_pos_5_conteudo_desktop\" style=\"text-align: center;\" class=\"d-none d-lg-block mb-md-4\">\n<\/div>\n<p>In wheat, humidity is delaying the start of the harvest in the north. In sectors of the central region, yield losses of 10% to 30% are expected compared to the previous crop, due to frost damage and tiller abortion. Low radiation may limit the number of grains, and weather conditions raise concerns about diseases, including fusarium head blight.<\/p>\n<p>In barley, the rains replenished water reserves, but frosts caused damage in western Buenos Aires, where the expected yield is around four tons per hectare. In other areas, estimates range from 3.5 to six tons per hectare.
