According to Antonio Prado GB Neto, an agribusiness consultant, based on data from Conab, the 2026/27 harvest should reach 148 million tons, considering the first, second, and third harvests.

According to the survey, ten states concentrate 90.81% of the national production, although they represent only 85.38% of the cultivated area. Together, they are expected to harvest approximately 134.4 million tons across 20.2 million hectares, highlighting the importance of these regions for the performance of Brazilian production.

Mato Grosso leads the way, with a forecast of 57.9 million tons, equivalent to 39.121 TP4T of the national volume. São Paulo, Bahia, Maranhão, and Santa Catarina complete the list of the ten largest producers.

In terms of productivity, Santa Catarina has the highest yield among the states analyzed, with 9,789 kilograms per hectare, a performance significantly higher than the Brazilian average of 6,244 kilograms.
