The report also indicates that 27.61% of the active rural credit portfolio in the state presents some type of payment difficulty, a scenario that may restrict access to new financing.

Rural credit disbursements decline in Goiás.

The Rural Credit Disbursement Monitoring Report, prepared by Faeg, analyzes the evolution of financing in the state, considering the volume of resources, the number of contracts, the profile of producers, and the purposes of the credit.

In the first three months of the 2026/27 Harvest Plan, between July and September, 9,845 rural credit contracts were formalized, excluding operations with Rural Product Certificates (CPRs). This number represents a reduction of 29,70% compared to the same period of the previous cycle.

The decline occurred in all categories of producers analyzed. Among other producers in agribusiness, the drop in disbursed amounts reached 45,11%. In the National Program to Support Medium-Sized Rural Producers (Pronamp), the reduction was 37,30%, while the National Program to Strengthen Family Farming (Pronaf) registered a decrease of 18,72%.

The number of contracts also decreased. In agribusiness, the drop was 46,35%, greater than the decrease observed in the volume of resources disbursed for this category. The results indicate a reduction in both the contracted values and the number of formalized operations, with a more pronounced impact among agribusiness producers.

Operating expenses and investments saw the largest declines.

Among the purposes of rural credit, financing for production costs showed a decrease of 45,16% during the period. This type of financing is the main destination for resources and finances agricultural and livestock production activities.

Investments, the second largest purpose in terms of resource volume, also registered a significant drop of 37,48%. The reduction in these two categories deserves attention due to their importance for financing production, acquiring technologies, and maintaining the productive capacity of farms.

Conversely, commercialization was the only modality that showed growth. Disbursements increased from R$ 571.6 million to R$ 846.8 million, an advance of 48.14%.

According to the analysis released by Faeg, the performance of the first quarter of the 2026/27 Harvest Plan reinforces the need to monitor access to credit and its potential impact on producers' financial planning throughout the harvest season.

Rural credit faces payment difficulties.

In addition to the reduction in new loans, the Faeg report highlights the increase in outstanding loans with payment difficulties as one of the factors that may contribute to the contraction of rural credit in Goiás. This scenario increases the risks for financial institutions and may lead to stricter criteria for granting new financing, making it more difficult for producers to access resources for operating costs and investment.

In August 2026, the active rural credit portfolio in Goiás totaled R$ 78.841 billion. Of this amount, R$ 57.092 billion, equivalent to 72.4%, were classified as ongoing operations.

The remaining R$ 21.749 billion, or 27.6% of the portfolio, corresponded to operations classified as problematic balances, according to the data presented in the report.

Renegotiations and delays total R$ 21.7 billion

Within the problematic balance, renegotiated operations represented R$ 10.833 billion. Meanwhile, delinquent contracts, with payments overdue by more than 90 days, totaled R$ 6.977 billion. The survey also identified R$ 2.221 billion in installments overdue between 15 and 90 days and R$ 1.718 billion in operations extended before maturity.

The composition of these figures shows that the problematic balance encompasses different contractual situations. Therefore, not all of the amount represents default, although its high proportion indicates pressure on the producers' financial capacity.

Restrictions may affect funding for the next stage of the harvest.

The combination of falling disbursements and a high proportion of loans with payment difficulties may influence access to rural credit in Goiás.

According to Faeg's analysis, the increased perceived risk for financial institutions may result in greater collateral requirements and restrictions on granting new funds.

The decline in financing for operating costs and investments requires attention, since these types of funding are important for enabling productive activities and sustaining the operational capacity of rural properties. Given this scenario, monitoring the evolution of contracts, renegotiations, and delays will be important to assess the financing conditions for producers in Goiás throughout the 2026/27 Harvest Plan.

THE Bela Cereais works with the best grains on the market in the Central West Region and also keeps you up to date with the latest news and analyses on agribusiness.
Don't forget to follow our social networks.

Access News Source

[90
244,248,255,249,254,250,246,247,256,245,253,252,251
post-28826","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-centro-oeste","tag-agrolink","tag-agrotoxicos","tag-artigos-tecnicos","tag-classificados","tag-colunistas","tag-compra","tag-cotacoes","tag-defensivos","tag-eventos","tag-noticias","tag-precos-agricolas","tag-previsao-do-tempo","tag-venda
["GET
