The data is available on the indicator panel of the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), which recorded an acceleration of work in all producing regions.<\/p>\n<p>According to the institute, the weekly progress in planting was 23.95 percentage points (pp) compared to the previous week, thus completing 75.81% of sown area. The Mid-North region continues to lead, with 96.60%, followed by the West, with 86.78%. The Southeast also stands out, with 59.04% of the planted area, a percentage ahead of the region&#039;s historical behavior, which usually presents a later sowing calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Imea reported this Friday that if the current pace is maintained, Mato Grosso should surpass 80% of the planted area in the last week of October. The institute&#039;s analysis states that this progress increases the prospect that most of the second-crop corn area will be planted within the ideal window, in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Soybean planting in Mato Grosso began in the second half of September. In the first three weeks, progress was below the ideal pace due to lack of rain and low soil moisture, leading producers to wait for more regular rainfall to intensify planting. With improved planting conditions, the pace accelerated this October.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lower productivity and increased soybean production costs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In its Weekly Bulletin published on October 19, Imea revised downwards its estimated productivity of Mato Grosso soybeans for the 2026\/27 crop season, given the climatic risks associated with the El Ni\u00f1o phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p>The projection has been revised to 64.82 sacks per hectare, which corresponds to a reduction of 2.021 TP4T compared to the previous season. As a result, the state&#039;s production is estimated at 50.89 million tons, a decrease of 1.431 TP4T.<\/p>\n<p>The revision occurs even with a projected increase of 0.60% in the cultivated area, which should reach 13.08 million hectares. According to the institute, this is the smallest growth in the historical series.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to climate risks, producers must also face higher costs. According to the October update of the Agricultural Production Cost in Mato Grosso project, carried out by the National Rural Learning Service (Senar MT) and Imea, the total cost of soybeans for the 2026\/27 crop was consolidated at R$ 8,210.31 per hectare, an increase of 6.96% compared to the 2025\/26 season.<\/p>\n<p>The increase was mainly influenced by the rise of 23,85% in expenses related to mechanized operations and the increase of 10,10% in the prices of agricultural pesticides.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ads-wrapper\" id=\"dfp-noticiasagricolas-paragrafos-2\"><script>window.pushAds.push(\"dfp-noticiasagricolas-paragrafos-2\")<\/script><\/div>\n<p>According to Imea, the cost was R$ 4,324.87 per hectare, an increase of 3.43%, equivalent to R$ 143.61 per hectare, when comparing harvests.
